Welcome to LazyBuster support. LazyBuster is a comic-style motion challenge app that uses your camera to catch you sitting still — then sounds the alarm so you get moving again.

How LazyBuster works

  1. Pick a challenge on the home screen (Countdown or Limit Mode).
  2. Tap Start Battle to enter Battle Zone.
  3. Keep moving in front of the camera until the challenge ends.
  4. If you stay still too long, LazyBuster sounds an ALARM. Move again within the grace period to continue.
  5. Finish the timer without failing to CLEAR the challenge and check in for the day.
  6. Track wins, losses, and streaks in Hall of Fame.

Frequently asked questions

Why does LazyBuster need the camera?
The camera watches for movement during a challenge. LazyBuster compares frames on your device to tell whether you are moving or sitting still. It does not stream video, and it does not upload photos or video to a server.
Why does LazyBuster need the microphone?
Only if you record a custom alarm or fail sound. Built-in sounds work without the microphone.
The camera preview is black / motion isn’t detected.
  • Allow camera access: Settings → LazyBuster → Camera → On.
  • Give the lens a clear view of you (not the ceiling or a blank wall).
  • Use decent lighting. Very dark rooms or strong backlight make detection unreliable.
  • Keep the phone steady (a stand or propped-up position works best).
  • Stay in frame. If you walk out of view, the app may treat the scene as still.
The alarm goes off even when I’m moving.
  • Make your movement larger and closer to the camera. Small motions (typing, scrolling) may not be enough.
  • Avoid pointing the camera at a TV, window, or flickering light.
  • Try a different challenge mode. Easier modes wait longer before sounding the alarm.
I keep failing even though I moved in time.
Move as soon as you see ALARM. If you stay still through the grace countdown, the challenge is marked as failed.
Sounds aren’t playing.
  • Check Settings and turn Sound on.
  • Unmute the iPhone (ring/silent switch) and raise the volume.
  • If you use a custom sound, try switching back to the default alarm, then re-import or re-record.
Haptics aren’t working.
Turn Haptics on in Settings. Some devices or iOS settings disable vibration.
Can I use my own alarm sound?
Yes. In Settings you can record a voice memo or import an audio file for the alarm and fail sounds.
Where is my streak / check-in data stored?
Challenge results, settings, and Hall of Fame stats are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app, or clearing its data, will remove this history.
Does LazyBuster have an account or cloud sync?
No. There is no sign-in, and progress does not sync across devices.
Does LazyBuster show ads or in-app purchases?
No. The app does not include ads or in-app purchases.

Permissions

Permission When it’s used Can I decline?
Camera During a Battle Zone challenge, to detect motion Yes. Challenges that need the camera will not run until access is granted.
Microphone Only when you record a custom sound Yes. You can still use the built-in sounds.
